For all of you who had McPheever last year when Kat was on American Idol, meet those of us that were mystified by the “Who is LonelyGirl15 phenomenom last August/September.”

Katharine, a fan of the Internet mini-series LonelyGirl15, appears on the new episode “Truth or Dare” today. Now, if you aren’t up-to-date, there are a lot of clips to watch but this one pretty much stands on its own without any background.

In the wake of Bree’s outing and the CAA lead we found, the producers behind the serial drama have given an interview to Richard Rushfield of the L.A. Times. In the article, they discuss how they met, how the group was formed, their intentions and production methods. They didn’t name their actress, although we’ve found that out already.

A great day of LG15 news for sure, Daniel is still in the wind, funny how nobody has found him yet.

Well, it looks like the search for the actress that plays Bree is over and her name is Jessica Rose. Through some serious Google cache searching it has been discovered that Bree is in fact played by Jessica Rose. You can see some of her pictures in the Google Cache of her pictures page.

I’m sure a lot more of this is going to break through the day, but the search is almost over.

Driven by hours of conjecturing and late night instant-messaging analysis, in August, three amateur sleuths who met on the discussion boards on lonelygirl15.com hatched a plan to lure lonelygirl to MySpace profiles they had created for the purpose.”

A Message From The Creators

To Our Incredible Fans,

Thank you so much for enjoying our show so far. We are amazed by the overwhelmingly positive response to our videos; it has exceeded our wildest expectations. With your help we believe we are witnessing the birth of a new art form. Our intention from the outset has been to tell a story– A story that could only be told using the medium of video blogs and the distribution power of the internet. A story that is interactive and constantly evolving with the audience.

Right now, the biggest mystery of Lonelygirl15 is “who is she?” We think this is an oversimplification. Lonelygirl15 is a reflection of everyone. She is no more real or fictitious than the portions of our personalities that we choose to show (or hide) when we interact with the people around us. Regardless, there are deeper mysteries buried within the plot, dialogue, and background of the Lonelygirl15 videos, and many of our tireless and dedicated fans have unearthed some of these. There are many more to come.

To enhance the community experience of Lonelygirl15, which you have already helped to create, we are in the process of building a website centered around video and interactivity. This website will allow everyone to enjoy the full potential of this new medium. Unfortunately, we aren’t programmers. We are filmmakers. We are working furiously to complete the website, and hope to have it up and running shortly.

So, sit tight. You are the only reason for our success, and we appreciate your devotion. We want you to know that we aren’t a big corporation. We are just like you. A few people who love good stories. We hope that you will join us in the continuing story of Lonelygirl15, and help us usher in an era of interactive storytelling where the line between “fan” and “star” has been removed, and dedicated fans like yourselves are paid for their efforts. Okay, so I’ve written about this enough that it’s obvious I’ve been trying to figure out WHO is behind the videos and whether they are the fun videos of a group of kids or if there is a shadow corporation in the background trying to promote an agenda. Well, a few of us got together and did some solid research the other night. The results of that research are available here. Through some real investigative techniques, we managed to get within what we believe are a few miles of where LG15 and DanielBeast are operating their video productions.

The latest outdoor video includes shots of plants native ONLY to that area confirms our research and we can say with a very high degree of certainty that they are in the Mountain View/San Mateo are of California. San Mateo happens to be the headquarters of YouTube, so if there is a corporation that would gain from the popularity of the videos, can you hazard a guess which one?

At this point, I’m done researching, I think I’ve certainly come close enough to feel as though victory has been achieved. I’ll leave it up to the local media to knock on her door and get an interview!
